Growing an Audience

So what is an Audience?

Your audience is people who follow you because they love your content and enjoy everything you have to offer.

They’re always looking for something but never stay around to join your community. They can be considered as page views and account for a large amount of your traffic. And since they’re just lurkers it’s important to have a community right around the corner.

What about your community?

Your community is a little different because they are the ones who will stick with you for a little while. They are your loyal customers who will stick ‘till the end. They take your content in and out and engage with you on a consistent basis.

There’s a way of growing both. But you have to put yourself as a first-time guest. What is it that catches their attention? What’s so great about your website? What excites them?

Providing an easy experience can be rewarding. Anytime you create daily valuable content, you’ll keep them for life. That’s why I always tell myself feeding them daily will keep them coming for more and finally they will all come to be customers for life.

Also, having them opt in for more freebies can really get the ball rolling faster. This action gives you a chance to turn them from a regular audience to a new community member. See what I mean? That’s why I couldn’t emphasize this better. Giving them free stuff in legendary.

How can you grow your tribe?

Well, there’s a few things you can do to grow your tribe, I call it tribe because is the same thing as a community. And I like it better because it makes it more personable, I guess.

Pinterest- If you like to post daily on your blog, cool. The best place to share amazing graphics is this platform. Use images that are branded, vertical and fit your audience. This will help you raise brand awareness in a huge way.

Comment Back- Showing interest and reaching out to your readers is so important. I couldn’t stress this enough. Make this a habit of getting to know them and take at least 30 minutes or so to show some love and appreciation. I promise you’ll see an increase in your follow. This can be on your Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, blog, etc.

The most successful brands will show lots of care and love to their audience. They’ll drip content each and every day because they know that without them they are nothing.

Did you gain at least one nugget out of this? Well, I sure know you did. Share it and let me know in the comments below if it helped ya.

Always a pleasure of mine talking to you.
