Identify Your Inner Style

How many times have you asked yourself, “What is my style?”, “Do I need Style?”, “What for?”

I know what you’re thinking, What the heck? Who needs style when I can dress however I want. Finding your style is a combination of the way you dress, talk, move your body or do anything that reflects your personality. That includes your thoughts, emotions, interests, morals, and values.

Basically, everything on the outside is a reflection of your inside. Once you identify your unattractive flaws you’ll have the power to change it.

So, how do you identify your inner style?

BRAND.

Your Brand is purely your reputation. It’s how you influence others. Guard your reputation because once it’s damaged, it’s really hard to change people’s view of you.

Let’s say you sell products for a company and you push it so much that people now see you as annoying and now they don’t want to talk to you because all you do is talk about this product. You don’t show any kind of interest towards them, so this perception of you will be added and whatever is not, will probably change or be removed.

I’m not saying you have to manage people’s perception of yourself, but if you’re building relationships or making connections for your business, it’s important that your positives enter the minds of others when you first meet them.

Clothing/Fashion Sense.

It doesn’t matter what you wear, at least 80% of your first impression doesn’t cover your entire impression.

Just because style equals expression, it doesn’t mean you get to wear whatever you want. There’s obviously a language that speaks to the types of clothes you wear. So, pick ones that will allow you to show your good side.

Imagine a rich man dress sharp and suited up or a filthy man with holes in his pants. Which one would you believe?

Tidy up

Keeping up with your hair, nails, and your outer physique is important. Most people will judge you subconsciously on how well you take care of yourself because majority only want to associate with well-dressed folks.

It’s easy to see a woman wearing a black dress with high heels and well-maintained hair against a woman who is in need of a good shower whose hair looks like it needs a good brush. Not saying I’m here to judge but judgments are made consciously. Our brains are wired to make sense of everything around us.

Whether that’s sanity or insanity, beautiful or disgusting, dangerous or safe. It’s simply the law of opposites.

Non- Verbal

Some of the messages we send out to others have very little to do with the words we use.

The body language tells a lot, whether is the tone, pitch, and volume we use is all part of the non-verbal communication and that is the heart of the words we use.

For example, a person with a loud voice can be super sensitive and insecure and a soft spoken one may be just simply shy.

Values

The way we live now is completely dependent on our values. Whether believing recreation is important for a healthier lifestyle or believing traveling is, in fact, another way to live happier.

Whatever you’re beliefs are, people will always build a perception of who you are no matter how much you try to mask it.

Be who you really are without pretending to be someone else. We’re human beings, not human doings.

Never underestimate the power of others because the truth will always show up when you least expect it.

That’s why I repeat on working on yourself from the inside first and once you have that, you can work on the outer part.

So why do you want a better version of yourself?

Because ideally you always want to become that person you visually see in your mind. And there’s plenty of room when it comes to growing and becoming a new you.

Your true happiness will come from your self-love and confidence.

Continue to improve yourself and find the real you deep in there, because the more you work on you the more you’ll attract that person you envision in your mind.
