As the Algorithms get a lot harder to understand in Facebook and Instagram people are now focusing on other channels to grow, and I’m gonna show you how you can increase your visibility

Let’s be honest, because I have overlooked the fact I can Increase my visibility. Instead of relying on one platform you can now focus on 2-3 to help you stay on top of the competition. But it sounds like a lot of work? Yes, trust me it is and as a social media manager, sometimes I don’t even know how to keep up, but it’s a great way to grow your audience. Especially if you are building the like, know, trust factor!

Why channeling to other platforms is important?

Let’s start here first because things are always changing and technology never seems to stop. But besides that, people’s behaviors are also changing making it fiercer to get them to purchase anything nowadays.

The only time they’ll invest in something is if it gives them Value! And don’t get me wrong, I am the same way, I’m very picky about where I put my money especially if I’m on a budget too!

You and I know the only time we buy from someone is when you have done some research, read that person’s blog post, seen some of their videos, looked at their website or social media and so on… Before you even join their email list, right? At least this is the pattern I follow.

Then, after you’ve received lots of information you then want to purchase from that person because you feel like she/he has given you a lot! And now you say, “Okay, I really love her/his content, and I’m ready to buy,” right?

Let me give you a typical example, but the majority of the people do this in one shape or form. Do you see the thread here? They go from social media to blog post, to an email list. No one buys right off the bat because they want to learn from you and most importantly trust you! So, the key here is to give, give, give, and then you offer!

How to Channel other platforms?

We’ll dive a little deeper here on how you can connect other platforms and give Value to others.

First, you want to make sure your brand is ready. The majority of the people who get started miss this, and it’s by far the most important one of them all. And look at it this way-

Your business is judged by your brand! 

You want to sell to them? Well, one thing you must keep in mind is this- people LOVE the simplicity, and you can start with 2-3 colors to get you started with your brand, pick 2-3 fonts that you know will attract a good crowd, and three, pick a theme. For example, if you look at Jenn Scalia’s website you can see her website is very simple and organized. If you noticed, you love websites that are mostly simple and well put, you and I would never go to a website that has 20 different colors, or somewhere you can’t even find a blog?

Now, after you have figured out your brand, you can go and create a simple product. A product can be anything.

You can create a checklist, tip sheet, worksheet, coaching, consulting, etc. anything you think could be of Value to others (At this point, you can be known as an Authority in your industry)

Think about what your audience needs at this point and ask yourself these questions

  • What are they struggling with?
  • Where do they need support?
  • What do they want to learn?
  • Who interests them the most?
  • Where do they find inspiration?

These are some of the questions that can help you define a product or service and give you more than enough information to create one that can truly help someone with something they’re struggling with. Now, this should put you ahead of the game, and you already know, and at this point, you can move to the next phase.

Now, the second phase is a little more up-leveled, you’ve already gained some skills and gathered enough information. You also have more access to more people, and you can almost start teaching in groups instead of one-on-one or posts. You’ll get more people at this phase asking you questions and more than common, and you can deliver it more efficiently at once.

Some of the things you can offer in this stage are-

  • Workshops
  • Webinars
  • And even courses

These are usually more valuable because you’re delivering, even more, content and answering questions face-to-face. And people value this very much; you can also charge for this services and start at a low-price point too.

Promoting your content

Now here’s the fun part, if you want to increase your visibility, you can create a single blog post for the week and promote most of the time. Most people think you must write three blog posts in a week. Honestly, if you’re just starting out, I would recommend you stick to 1 a week and promote majority of the time.

You can promote in all the different social media platforms. Use and grab pieces of content to share bits and pieces of that specific blog posts.

And that’s the beauty of it. You get to share even more FREE content! That’s why I love blogging because I don’t have to break my head looking for more content. The content is already there and I can even re-purpose it.

Also, you can use some of your blog posts and create a mini course around it. You’re probably saying how? As long as the blog posts all match in the information you can save time to launch your next course. Again, written content and there lies the beauty of re-purposing.

Make sure you display your blog posts in the right places within your website. Using your footer and sidebar can be helpful to the visibility of your content. Making it eye-catching to new readers who might benefit from your valuable information.

Starting your morning doesn’t mean you need to wake up and grab the phone. No, it requires you to prepare the mind. Let me show you four morning rituals successful entrepreneurs need.

How do you start?

One excellent way to wake up is being grateful. You can write down in your journal about the things you’re completely grateful for or you can say them out loud. Just make sure you don’t wake up your neighbor next door or you could, however, if you’re in a really good mood I say the heck with it.

Spring Wedding

Give yourself a good stretch

You have enough time to get a good stretch once you wake up. You can do some yoga poses or just do the normal stretch pose that you know. One of my favorite ones is the forward bend, can I tell you how amazing I feel after I do this?

What this pose does, it calms your brain and reliefs stress, stimulates the liver and kidneys and it also improves digestion. How amazing right?

The point of stretching is: so your body can feel energize throughout the day.

The second thing you should do in the morning is drink a cup full of water. You could add apple cider vinegar, lemon, cinnamon, or honey. I usually add all the above.

The great thing about apple cider is that it helps promote healthy blood sugar, improves nutrient absorption, and many other benefits that come along with it.

Lemon also helps with digestion and helps with bloating big-time. If you’re having any type of indigestion, you have to drink lemon on an empty stomach.

I like to keep a glass full next to me when I wake up that way I’m starting the day off right and not feeling dehydrated since I’ve had so many hours without drinking water.

Set your Intentions daily

Normally most will reach out to their phone. But instead take your time to write about your intentions you have for this day specifically. You could write about how you’re going to speak to your clients, managers, colleagues, family, husband, etc.

Tell yourself what you’re going to expect out of this day. Are you going to sign up a new client? Or are you going to surprise your husband with a little sexy back? Or are you going to take your time creating new things? Are you going to create content for a new launch you have in mind?

Whatever that is, make sure you do it with love and emotion. If you feel like you need to play some music in the background do it. Whatever makes you feel in tune, just do it. That’s the feeling you want to be in, anyway.

Just do whatever makes you happy in the Morning

I don’t know about you but when I play a good beat, my Spanish comes out and I just start cha-cha dancing. I mean who doesn’t want to feel that good in the morning?

Play your favorite song or listen to a good audiobook. Whether is writing, talking, or dancing. Let that emotion come out and just be you for a minute or two. Yes, all the promises begin as the new year starts but are you sticking to them? I’ll share with you 3 ways to stand out in 2017.

Let me just say first… we all make false promises at the beginning of the year so how about we just don’t say anything and simply let success run in silence, shall we?

What I have learned in 2016 has been good and bad so I’ll share with you the bad first.

-If you’re just starting make sure that you don’t just post a blog and let it sit there. You MUST and I mean this, share your blog across all the social media platforms you currently use. I share some of this on here.

The good- If you’re new to blogging share content that resonates with your audience meaning find a niche that you’re passionate about. If you’re into relationships then share tips on how to’s, tips, advice, etc. Share tips that will ultimately fix a problem.

I didn’t realize that until like in my 9 months of blogging and I have found to be very helpful.

Posting for the heck of posting will get you nowhere.


I regret not using Meditation last year enough. This is key to pushing your life + business forward.

Setting space to set some intentions and spending time focusing on my breathing is one habit I’m creating to stand out in 2017.

You can practice instructing the mind to remain quiet for the duration of your session, this will help you connect with your inner source and get into alignment.

Give yourself space your mind will start to wonder but give it some time and it will slowly come to concentration.


How important is it to visualize daily?

Per some sources visualizing is very powerful and it is proven to refine your image and help you with changes in your life. It also helps you to recognize what resources you’ll need throughout the day and most importantly reach your goals.

You also create inner motivation and it gives you the power of positive thinking but how do you do it?

Well the same way you would as if you were meditating but instead you’ll visualize and dream just let your imagination do the work. Pay attention to the way you feel, what emotions are coming up for you? Are you feeling happy? Excited? Intrigued?

Here’s what golfer Jack Nicklaus said about visualizing:

“I never hit a shot, not even in practice, without having a very sharp in-focus picture of it in my head. It’s like a color movie. First, I “see” where I want it to finish, nice and white and sitting high on the bright green grass. Then the scene quickly changes, and I “see” the ball going there: its path, trajectory, and shape, even its behavior on landing. Then there’s a sort of fade out, and the next scene shows me making the kind of swing that will turn the precious images into reality.”

How amazing is this? So, to give you some good hope, yes you got this, chic.


I realized last year was that I was not posting enough on all social media platforms. I lacked consistency.

Consistency is the bread and butter of your business.

Posting daily or weekly can be a gift and it’s important that you do this often. Batch as much as you can and take 3-5 hours a week to do this. The more consistent you are the quicker you come up with a system to do it faster and more efficiently.

New Year, New You

Blogging in the spot is harder and this is something I’m holding myself accountable because it is hard for me to just come up with content right away.

It also helps if you’re working the 9-5 you can set aside 4 hours and split your time in intervals of two hours each.

Yes, you may think the more followers you have the better, you think you’d look good and get more credibility this way. Wrong! Let me share with you why.
Having a pretty strong follow may seem like you are extremely known throughout Instagram and you don’t get me wrong but when I reached my 2,000 followers I thought I was all that and a bag of chips. No joke. Ha, ha, ha…
But the reality, I was chasing the wrong thing and noticed my I wasn’t getting many clicks on my link in my bio.


We all know that content is super important but seriously with Instagram’s algorithms it’s all about the Engagement.

Engagement allows you to earn more sales, shares, likes, and seriously lots of opportunities as an influencer.


One thing I love about Instagram is this like feature because it shows your followers what you’ve like and you can see what they’re liking as well. So, that’s gold. However, it doesn’t pay the bills and I’m sorry to tell you this awful news.
So, can you get a ton of likes without buying fake likes? Of course, you can. What you can do is:

  • Look at those profiles who are liking your photos and see if they resonate with you. If they’re real people, then you know you’re doing something right. If not, then you probably need to do the following.
  • Check your hashtags and this may be a no brainer but sometimes having certain hashtags can bring you more spammers than anything else.

Now, once you see who’s liking your content you can return the favor and causing them to engage with you more. Because the truth be told everyone knows and sees what their liking.


Oh, lord comments are truly an amazing way to marketing yourself. How grateful am I when someone leaves a long positive comment? It shows me how they took a few minutes out of their time to leave a thoughtful comment. And in all seriousness if you’re not commenting back you’re missing out big time.

Here’s something to consider:

If they left you an emoji comment, then return the favor with the same thing.
If they left you a long positive message, then return the favor the same way.
And finally, just make sure you interact with them, don’t leave them hanging there and just be yourself but not snobby. Oh, and don’t forget to tag them in the comment or they’ll never see it. There’s a chance they’ll see it but remember you want to leave a lasting impression.


I think this is one of my favorites marketing strategies. You know how Facebook has that feature to share. Twitter has a re-tweet and so on. Instagram doesn’t quite have that but others can still share your content or vice versa.

There’s this thing called re-gram and of course you can download the app or you can save the photo now with the new version of Instagram. It’s so cool because I don’t have to go back and forth looking for it anymore.
The great thing about when someone shares your content is that they’re sharing your content with their audience. How awesome is that? You’re getting double exposure right there and then.
One thing to keep in mind is if you’re going to be sharing others content is to tag them on the picture and on the caption, as well. This is so crucial because it can get you in big trouble if you don’t and that is copyright issues.

A few extra tips:

  • Look at who is sharing your content
  • Are your pictures unique or can they be replicated? It’s hard to tell if others created content like yours and shared it or if they used yours to share. But pay close attention to what type of content they’re re-sharing.

We’re spending more time on social media than ever before. And I mean come on there’s so much free content, resources, information, freebies, etc.

It’s almost like a concert because it’s so big! There are about 1.71 billion monthly active users on Facebook, 313 million active monthly users on Twitter, and way over 450 million registered on LinkedIn. Say what??

So how do you take advantage of Social media?

Traffic –

Send new customers or existing ones to your website allowing you to increase your traffic. You can also optimize your SEO which increases your chances of getting seen by more people. Ultimately, allowing your sales to increase.

One great tool to use for SEO is called Yoast and if you’re not using it, I highly suggest you jump right in. And don’t worry, it’s so easy and simple to use.

Understand your target audience-

Understanding certain personalities and demographics can help you along the way. There are many users who are completely diverse, the good thing is that they’re there to interact and engage.

You can identify a few by what they do, what they consume, what social media platforms they’re on, and what kind of content interests them. You can also find more about their values and their language. The beauty of it is that you can personalize it as much as you want. Remember is not what you say, it’s how you say it that matters.


We get so carried away liking, commenting, and sharing and we forget about our own pages, blogs, etc. Everyone falls under that trap.

Find a scheduler that works for you and use it consistently to schedule a month-to-month.

You can manage multiple social networks, connect with clients and continue to grow your brand.

I currently use Buffer and honestly it’s so awesome that sometimes I just forget that I have it because it automatically schedules my posts for me. I don’t have to think posting something right away. Trust me that was so annoying. There are others you can find such as Hootsuite, Post planner, etc.

Social Listening-

I think this is one of the most important ones for me because its more like customer service. Use questions to get your audience to speak and for you to get real time responses.

Sometimes responding to a negative response can be a great way to handle complaints on social media. Pay attention to what they like when they like your stuff. This is a great way to continue to deliver more of that exactly. Plus, you get to engage with them and build that trust factor.

Return of investment-

If you do it right you can improve your web traffic instantaneously. You can monitor your cost per click and decide whether is worth your investment or not. Starting small is the best way to go, seriously.

Plus, it gives you the flexibility to do something completely different. So in case you get very busy with a thousand things to do, You can go and hang out and watch your favorite movie with your partner.

There are a few things you can do starting a successful blog, today. I’ll give you some of my secrets and share with you what’s helped me.

When I start my blog, I literally had no idea how I could get started. I’ve learned more within the last 3 months than I ever have. So, I’m going to lay for you all the bits and pieces to this puzzle. Ok, and maybe you’ll need something to write with.

The Tools

One thing you should do first if you want to start a successful blog is to have some wifi or fast internet ready because the loading process could take longer depending on your internet. Unless, you’re still on dial-up. Sorry. Glad I’m not there.

An awesome laptop too. Because if you’re like me, you’ll end up in ancient times before you can post anything. I still have Windows Vista? I mean who does that? That’s me for ya.

A phone in case you don’t have to buy a DSLR camera. Seriously, you don’t need to go and buy a new camera. And definitely not a brand new one, when you can simply take pictures with your phone and some good ones too. I use my iPhone 6 to take great pictures.

Of course, some nice editing program like CANVA. I absolutely love this program because it does the tricks just like a regular expensive editing program would. Although, it’s not the same thing but works wonders. And if you get a little artistic you might end up getting better results. Really.

You could get stock photos that are nicer and make your blog look super elegant and fun. Depending on your brand. Keeping it to a minimum is a must for sure, though.

Those are some of the tools you’d need for now.

Getting Started

The first thing I did to get some content was to write a blog post, an about me page, and a Contact me page. I started adding a few later down the road but these were the most important ones for me.

I downloaded a nice theme I felt would flow with my personality and I created a logo with Canva. Pretty sweet deal and very simple to make.

Before you start a successful blog, one thing to keep in mind is when you get a domain name you get to keep it until its time to renew your domain. You keep it for a bit and you can’t change it after that. After all, you’re renting space to host it.

Also, let’s not forget like I did about your Social Media accounts. Make sure that all your social accounts have the same pictures across the board and the content you have relates to yourself right now. If you’re trying to make a profit out of it.

Writing a Post that works.

The length of the post depends on you and the usual is about 300 words. Now, if you want to be an extremist then you can post more and it’s actually better for you SEO.

And I’ll leave SEO for another topic. This one is going to be different for sure.

Wow, can I get a breather around here! Jeez, you may think this would take forever to follow through and yeah it does take a little bit of time to get through, but the whole point is to stay consistent. You could post once a week, every two weeks or once a month. Depending on your schedule.

Once you’re done with your post you’re going to promote and the reason I say this is because you’re writing with purpose not for it to just sit there and be ignored. I mean at least get your money’s worth.

Another way to start a successful blog is by sharing your content on Pinterest which is one of the fastest way to grow it.

If you want to see growth this is the platform for you, especially if you like to pin others stuff. Create a board that fits with what you’re pinning about and Voila.

Another way to promote is through Twitter, I like twitter because you can post as much as you want here as well. Twitter posts go so quickly. It’s all about your strategy.

Do you really think that most Business Owners are gonna have time to keep up with merchandise, employees, and Social Media?

The key to hiring passion over someone who has the skillset is someone who loves Store, Brand, and Industry. It could be a part time worker who has a passion for Social Media. Has great work ethic and loves to write content or schedule posts.

Social Media isn’t hard anyone can learn as long as they have a Passion for what they do. There are plenty of courses online they can learn from.


More than often, just like if you’d hire a photographer to come and take photos for your new product or service and they didn’t deliver like they said they would. Yeah, it could happen. However, keep in mind that there are ways to measure success.

It depends on what you’re looking for as far as Management. There are owners who just want to keep up with competitors likes or engagement or increase your traffic. It all comes down to your specific needs. Some owners may not care about traffic or engagement.

Let your Social Media Manager know especially at the interview, what your definition of success means, so they know what they can bring to the table.
